ARAJESU 1, born Toyin Ara, is a passionate gospel music minister whose journey began in the humble town of Ifo, Ogun State, and continues to flourish from her current base on Lagos Island, Lagos State. With a divine calling that ignited her passion for music, Toyin Ara has been a vessel of spiritual sound since 2014.
Her journey into music has been nothing short of remarkable—marked by trials, perseverance, and unwavering faith. As she often reflects, “My eyes have seen shege,” a testament to the deep challenges she faced when stepping into her calling. Yet, through it all, her resolve remained rooted in her unshakable belief that her gift was from God, who remains her greatest mentor and inspiration.

Raised in an Anglican background, she experienced a spiritual transition after moving in with relatives who introduced her to the Celestial Church of Christ in 1989. Despite being overlooked and doubted in her early years in church, especially when she expressed her desire to sing, Toyin never lost sight of her calling. Her first performance was a nerve-wracking experience, with trembling legs and an uncertain voice—but it marked the beginning of a journey that has since touched countless lives.
Today, ARAJESU 1 is not only a thriving gospel artist but also a devoted wife and proud mother of two. Her music reflects her life’s testimony—filled with grace, fire, and divine encounters. She continues to minister with the same passion that first lit her path, using her voice to testify, heal, and inspire.
